COAT advocates for accessibility and usability of technology for people with disabilities. Enacting the 21st Century Communications and Video Accessibility Act (21st CVAA) was a huge step forward and we are working to implement this new law. COAT’s overall aim is to ensure accessibility, usability, and affordability of all broadband, wireless, and Internet technologies for people with disabilities.
COAT Thanks CDC for Captioning Swine Flu Video Clip
In May 2009 COAT sent a letter to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) to thank them for captioning their recent Swine Flu videoclip. COAT also recommended creation of future videoclips also be made available in a Sign Language version. If you would like a copy of the COAT letter, please contact COAT.
