COAT Affiliate WGBH Media Access Center Demos Live TV to Internet Captioning

COAT affiliate WGBH-Media Access Center demonstrated live TV-to-Internet captioning recently. On September 8, President Obama spoke to the nation's students and, in an experiment intended to discover how to make live captioning of live web events more facile, automatic and hassle-free, WGBH-Media Access Center put up an experimental caption-serving website. The site re-purposed TV captions and married them to the President's speech to the students as it was happening.
