COAT advocates for accessibility and usability of technology for people with disabilities. Enacting the 21st Century Communications and Video Accessibility Act (21st CVAA) was a huge step forward and we are working to implement this new law. COAT’s overall aim is to ensure accessibility, usability, and affordability of all broadband, wireless, and Internet technologies for people with disabilities.
COAT Affiliate Inclusive Technologies Addresses Diversity & People with Disabilities
On Friday, October 2, Jim Tobias of Inclusive Technologies, a COAT affiliate, participated in a panel at the FCC Workshop on Diversity & Civil Rights Issues in Broadband Deployment & Adoption as it relates to the development of the National Broadband Plan.
The event was held at the FCC in Washington, DC, and was broadcast online. Audience members submitted questions during the event and it was archived online.
