COAT advocates for accessibility and usability of technology for people with disabilities. Enacting the 21st Century Communications and Video Accessibility Act (21st CVAA) was a huge step forward and we are working to implement this new law. COAT’s overall aim is to ensure accessibility, usability, and affordability of all broadband, wireless, and Internet technologies for people with disabilities.

COAT Affiliate TDI Vlogs on HR 3101!

COAT affiliate TDI has created a video blog or "vlog" about HR 3101. Signed and presented by Claude Stout, executive director of TDI, the vlog "It's Our World," is on Youtube.

This open captioned vlog is sponsored by Hamilton Relay and includes an interesting ad by this relay provider. The focus of the vlog, however, is "The 21st Century Communications & Video Accessibility Act of 2009," or HR 3101. Claude points out how technology has changed for users of relay service and how HR 3101 will address some of this.
